Hello everyone. I'm in the home-stretch on this 10x8 inch still life painted from a shared reference photo from Kay Dewar. We are using this social-distancing time to try some paint-alongs, sharing tips and tricks with each other.
I'm also taking an online class with Colley Whisson and just submitted this one to him for his suggestions. Of course, as soon as I sent the image to him I see several corrections to be made. I love the online work with him and he is the most attentive, present online instructor ever. He must not sleep. The paintings that are submitted to Colley can't be entered into competitions of course (because they are "classroom work" but in the fall I plan to have a blow-out super sale.
Happily, I have sold two pieces to people who have seen the work on Facebook or Instagram. They are drying, awaiting varnishing and then will be shipped by Priority Mail. If you see a piece you are interested in, let me know and I'll put your name on it.
I'll post this again as a finished piece on....oh no! I just realized I am posting to my finished art blog, not my Art Journal. Darn. Well, it's too close to dinner time for me to redo all this onto the correct blog so here it is for now.
